San Francisco Okinawa Kenjin Kai

Okinawan Association in the Bay Area.

OKKSF is a social organization serving the local bay area community. Our motive of this club is to perpetuate Okinawan culture and expose the beautiful songs and dances from it, to people of all races. We do our share of community services by participating in the annual Cherry Blossom Festivals and Aki Matsuri. It is our hope that the Okinawan spirit is shared with the rest of the world!

San Jose Sanshin Kai is the group who enjoys playing Okinawan traditional instrument, Sanshin in San Jose, California. If you would like to play sanshin, make friends through the sanshin group, or you love Okinawa and want to share with us, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Nidaime Teishin Kai Hawaii Shibu (二代目定絃会ハワイ支部)

is an Okinawan folk music club with the main school headed by music legend, Sadao China. The Hawaii shibu (branch) was formed in 1999 by Kiyoshi Kinjo along with Shoei Moriyama and Ryosei Oshiro
